Actor Rob Lowe, his brother, and his son have a heart for special needs dogs, according to TMZ. For the past six months the trio have been giving their time and love to OneDogRescue in California.

Lowe and his family have been coordinating adoption events, renting mobile spay/neuter clinics, and buying toys for the dogs.

TMZ says that Rob’s son is especially involved in the rescue process — regularly visiting the pups, and even checking up on them in foster homes to make sure they’re doing ok.

One Dog Rescue specializes in the rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption of abandoned dogs. One Dog Rescue puts special focus on helping special needs dogs who are red listed to be euthanized at local shelters. They generally rescue small dogs but they also do rescue larger dogs on occasion, as well as birds and cats.

It’s refreshing to hear of star-studded celebrities not only giving their money, but also their time, to such a worthy cause.

Mouse
Office Supermodel

At 3 pounds and 1 ounce and 7 years old, Mouse is the skinniest and oldest supermodel in the world.

She was discovered by “One Dog Rescue” at the West Valley Pound. With three teeth left in her mouth and one toe missing on her back paw, she can still strut her stuff on the dog walk. When she is not modeling for DOGSWELL, she is sound asleep on the laps of the DOGSWELL people staff, keeping everyone toasty warm… or in the stockroom flirting with Josh to get her little paws on some scrumptious DOGSWELL Freeze Dried Dinner Bites™ (which she swears by with so little teeth). If she can’t sink her gums into Freeze Dried, the DOGSWELL canned food is her second top choice along with CATSWELL treats!

Check her out on the DOGSWELL Facebook page.
